Using Online Photovoice (OPV) to Understand Youths’ Perceptions of Distance Education during COVID-19

In this study we aimed to investigate young college students’ experienced problems and support resources regarding online or distance education during the COVID-19 pandemic. We used an innovative technique, Online Photovoice (OPV) method collect data. The research includes theoretical framework created understand factors that facilitate complicate online/distance processes for prospective teachers in Therefore, consisted of Ecological Systems Theory (EST), Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR), OPV. analysis data, Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis (OIPA). sample 153 university students three universities south southeast Turkey. data collection tool was as form consisting four parts: introduction, general information, consent form; questions on most important facilitator barrier your life process using OPV; demographic section. When facilitating obtained from were examined, 11 main themes emerged. These having (37%), technology, computer, internet, helpful course programs (30%), private space (10%). On other hand, 16 complicating have emerged including insufficient technology (32%), with (15%), financial issues (12%). participants attributed facilitators barriers EST levels, respectively: individual/intrapsychic (47%, 43%), microsystem (19%, 48%), exosystem (36%, 37%), macrosystem (26%, 34%).
